4: All of nature is equally amazing and valuable, but the truth is: some critters give us the creeps. This month on October 14th, 21st, and 28th, stop by the Naturalist’s Cabin at Russell Crossroads to see some specimens that are apt to cause a chill. Some will have eight legs and some will have none, but all will be on display for learning and discovery. Why are these creatures the ones featured on Halloween decorations? What is it about them that makes us squeamish and fearful? They will discuss this and more as you come to appreciate our wild neighbors who lurk in the shadows. Live animals – bring your camera. No charge – everyone is welcome. If you have questions, call Marianne at 256-496-2710 or Naturalist@Russelllands.com.
