10: My friends, I’m not going to say the PLUG is already in here at Lake Martin, however the water level has been gradually climbing this week. We are more than one foot above winter pool level! I have always said the water level starts to climb around February 15th, so I suppose we are ahead of schedule on the exact date this year! If you don’t have the APC App for your smart phone, log into this website. It gives you the exact water levels, plus plenty of fishing and recreational information. Plus, it allows you to download permit requests and tons of information about our great lake. https://apcshorelines.com/

1: Takahiro won the BassMaster’s Lake Martin Elite Tournament this past weekend! There was one sweet spot all weekend for Takahiro Omori. He found an island with a current flowing behind it his first day on Lake Martin. The water on the outside of the island was extremely shallow, forcing Omori to churn mud. Once in place, he dropped his shallow-water anchors and cast his 1.5 TO Craw Lucky Craft crankbait into a hole about twice the size of his boat. It’s where he fished almost all weekend. That sweet spot gave Omori the Bassmaster Elite Series at Lake Martin championship on Sunday. He also won the $100,000 prize.
